CryoHoldco has officially inaugurated Elevate by Renew Therapies, a new center dedicated to regenerative medicine. The facility is designed to provide cutting-edge cell therapies while ensuring a rigorous patient evaluation process and strict adherence to medical and scientific standards.
Elevate by Renew Therapies is built around a patient-centered approach that prioritizes meticulous patient assessment before administering any regenerative therapy. The center aims to differentiate itself by ensuring transparency and ethical practices in an industry where innovation often outpaces regulation, explains Mario Godínez, CEO, CryoHolco. By maintaining high-quality standards and regulatory compliance, the facility seeks to instill confidence in patients and healthcare professionals alike.
“The more places like this we can bring closer to people, the greater our capacity to improve the quality of life of more patients,” says Godínez to MBN.
The core of the center’s operations is a last-mile laboratory that ensures the viability and quality of cell therapies before they reach patients. The facility underscores the importance of trust in the sector, emphasizing the need for rigorous scientific validation of treatments.
Regenerative medicine relies on stem cells, specifically mesenchymal and hematopoietic stem cells, which have the potential to repair and regenerate tissues, explains Francisco José Flores, CMSO, CryoHoldco. Mesenchymal stem cells contribute to the formation of various tissues, including muscle, bone, and organs, while hematopoietic stem cells are responsible for generating blood components. The center offers both autologous and allogeneic therapies. Autologous cells are derived from a patient’s own body, while allogeneic cells come from donors.
“Regenerative medicine supports cells in functioning cohesively, whether applied locally or systemically, helping the body restore itself and operate more efficiently. The healing process starts from within and works outward,” says Michael Myslabodsky, Commercial Director, Renew Therapies.
Elevate by Renew Therapies is actively engaging in clinical research and collaborations with leading institutions. It has partnered with the National Institute of Rehabilitation to conduct a study on high-performance athletes, assessing the impact of regenerative therapies on joint health. Additionally, the center is working with the National Institute of Genomic Medicine to study aging and cellular evolution in specific patient populations.
In collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), the center is contributing to the advancement of regenerative medicine as a scientifically validated field.
“We are forming these alliances to equip people with the information and evidence they need to make informed decisions that will ultimately improve their lives,” says Godínez.
The field of regenerative medicine is attracting significant investments from global firms. Reports from consulting firms indicate an exponential rise in funding for regenerative therapies, reflecting a shift in healthcare priorities toward preventive and restorative treatments, says Godínez.
There are now over 1,700 clinical studies underway related to stem cells in different therapeutic areas, says Flores.
With a strong focus on patient outcomes, ethical considerations, and scientific rigor, the center aims to provide innovative solutions for individuals seeking to enhance their quality of life through regenerative treatments.
